Andrew 'Oyl' Miller is a copywriter from Portland, Oregon, currently living in Tokyo.

Andrew got his start in advertising working under the creative direction and mentorship of Susan Hoffman in Wieden+Kennedy 12.

After W+K 12 Andrew was hired as a copywriter and art director on Nike out of the Wieden Portland office. There he worked on Nike Basketball and helped write and create the new positioning for Nike Baseball.

Then Andrew was recruited by John Jay to join the Wieden Tokyo office as a copywriter on Nike Asia Pacific.

While in Tokyo, Andrew has created campaigns for Nike in Asia, Japan and globally. He has also made campaigns for PlayStation, Google, Ben & Jerry's, Delta Airlines, Nikon, Sony and other clients. He was a part of new business wins on PlayStation and Ben & Jerry's. His work has won many awards including the ACC Grand Prix for the best commercial of the year in Japan.

Before his career in advertising, Andrew was a baseball player and even had a major league tryout as a pitcher. He was a three-year captain of his college baseball team as well as a three-year president of his dormitory.

In 2012 Andrew was named the second most influential user on Pinterest for his more than 1 million followers.

At night, after his kids are in bed, Andrew works on his personal art, writes screenplays, short films and the occasional thing for McSweeney's.
